Default ROL help time!!!!

I'd appreciate some other people's feedback, especially about the lower ranking programs because they just all seemed so similar...

These are all IM program. Current aspirations Heme/Onc. I'm Canadian, so I'll have a break between residency and fellowship and so obviously a place that will give me the most exposure or research opportunities would be best.

Current ranking:

SUNY upstate
Maimonides medical center
St. Marys hospital, CT
Jewish hospital Cincinnati, OH
St. Barnabas hospital, NJ
Uni Alabama Montgomery
St. Elizabeth Youngstown
Redmond regional mc, Rome
Mercy Catholic Medical Center, Darby, PA
Mercy St. Vincent Toledo
Bassett medical
Wykcoff Heights

Feedback is very much appreciated!!

The question I had was about Maimonides. I want fellowship but I also want to make sure I have a spectacular internal medicine training and I wasn't sure Maimonides would do that? Seemed iffy. Any other perspectives? This is super important for me please and thank you!

Creating the right rank order list is tricky. You want to mix programs you personally prefer with "safety" programs for optimal chances to Match.

From what you say, if you want a Fellowship, Maimonides is a good option.

Unfortunately, I cannot comment on this list because the list should be built based on a mixture of programs you prefer and "safety" programs. I do not know what you value in a program. Figure out what you want in a program and build you list based on that.

Default Safety?

How does safety come in if a program ranks u high? I don't think it matters even if u rank them low u still hv great shot of matching there in case u don't match in ur high ranking programs! And by the way u can't consider a program to be safe either by looking at it as a low program too, becos if u are highly qualified they may be threatened that u would go else where. So the point is to rank according to where u like most!
