Question USCE or extra study time?

I graduated in April 2011 and i have completed step 1 and CS. I want to apply for the 2013 match and would like to submit my application on september 1st.

My step to CK is on july 20th and I wish to postpone that, but if I do that, then I won't be able to do an externship before September 1st.

I see two sides. chances of matching are higher if I have an externship and try finish studying in a month. But at the same time I think I can get an externship anytime later too, but I have just one shot at scoring.

What do I do?

Why do you want to postpone your CK?

Based on the info on these forums, it only takes usually like 3-4 months to prep for CK. If that's so, then you have time.

Are you going to do an externship or an observership?

It was slightly complicated as I had other responsibilities for a few months in between...
But thanks! i
