Default Need help on the ROL

1) St Lukes-Roosevelt
2) Jacobi Medical Center
3) Maimondes Medical Center
4) Cook County
5) Washington Hospital Center
6) Presence Francis, Evanston
7) Rochester General Hospital
8) Montefiore-New Rochelle
9) St. Barnabas Health, New Jersey
10) St Vincent, Worchester
11) Sinai Baltimore
12) Lincoln Hospital
13) Presence Joseph, Chicago
14) MacNeal Hospital

These are all Internal Medicine Programs, I am an IMG, have taken step 3 and qualify for a H1-B visa, would like a cardio fellowship but maybe not straightaway, have a preference for NY programs and have ranked the programs depending on my interview experience, but i realize one day cannot offer much insight into a program. Hence, I would appreciate any feedback regarding the list, I am especially confused between my no. 1 and 2. Thanks in advance!

Looked Card fellowship track record. Jacobi is best bet in your list.
I rank only CCF higher than Jacobi. My friend is a PGY-2 there at Jacobi and he deeply value his training.

And Montefiore-New Rochelle is really good though. This should be your top one.

SRL's cardiology is very strong, if you take a look at their faculty page. Jacobi even cannot do PCI in house

Cook County is better than Maimonides, some say even better than Jacobi (for cards fellowship placement maybe Jacobi is better, but for general medicine training and reputation Cook County beats all the programs on your list). Of course your preference for NYC has to count

Hi getnus, thanks for writing. Which program do you mean by CCF? What does your friend say about the scut work there?

I agree. Cook County is better than Maimonides. When I interviewed there, i did get the impression that the training was very good there. I guess I am putting a lot of weight on NYC when making the ROL. I have heard such mixed reviews about SLR, on paper it looks good, but the residents didnt seem too happy. I still don't know where to place it. But thanks for your opinion.
