Default Possible to match into university programs?

I'm currently in my final year of my studies and after reading on this board and on SDN I'm afraid about if I can match, where I want to.

I hope I can match in a good academic Neurology program, where I can do meaningful research even after residency/fellowship. What are my chances for that goal?

Med school: located in central europe
Step 1: > 240
Step 2CK: > 260
Step 2CS: First pass
Visa needed (H1B only)
USCE: 5 months (1 month neuro, 1 month IM)
Research: only 2 publications as middle author (1 international, 1 national)

Should I only look at university programs which have been taking FMGs? Does my med school matter at all?

If anyone has friends or colleagues who matched into university programs, I'd love to hear about their experience.

Edit: added some info

You have a decent shot. Not to worry, middle tier universities (Oklahoma, Toledo) and up are more than possible. Consider taking Step 3 prior to application and J1. Good luck!

Actually, unlike IM programs, most neuro programs are university-based programs... But very few of them can sponsor H1B which is very unfortunate

@makhan13990: Thanks for your encouragement! Your credentials look fantastic. Are you in the current match season?

@mszzeta: That does sound bad for me I do not plan to return to my home country just after finishing residency + fellowship. And going to an medically underserved area doesn't seem like beneficial for an academic career.

I'm going to research some programs on FREIDA and post a list here with all neurology programs, which sponsor H1B visa.

Edit: According to FREIDA 25 university programs are sponsoring H1B visa and around 5 of those are definitely "top-tier" and very difficult to match into even as an AMG.
In comparison, there are 129 university programs accepting FMG/IMGs with J1 visa...oh boy
