Unhappy Would it benefit\hurt me ?

Desperate times call for desperate measures !
so, after failing my first match season 2 years ago & spending 2 years doing research, I'm kinda paranoid when it comes to this years match.
I'm scared not to match, period !
there's one program that I interviewed in which I really liked & really wanted to go there & they seemed interested in me as well.

I emailed the coordinator about 4 time since my interview which was in October. my emails were just to update on the progress that I have made after my interview & to show my interest even more.

the last email was yesterday & I stated that I've concluded my interviews for this season & came to the conclusion that their program is where I wanna be.

How will the PD & PC interpret my approach? will it look like a genuine interest or an act of desperation ? & ow will that affect my place in their ROL?

thanks

You did the right thing by letting them know that you wanted to go there.Everyone is doing that. Though I am not sure how that will be interpreted. Don't know if it changes anything!!

To be honest, there isn't a magic number but you have done all that you can do and you have no control on what happens next. Believe me we are all in the same boat and have sudden moments of self doubt. This is tough but it shall pass and we will match.

I am in the same boat. If programs give no response to thank you mail, does that mean we are not ranked?

Don't make anything out of it, one program sent Christmas letters to all candidates during the holiday season telling them that they are their #1 candidate and others just flat out ignore everyone. Unless, you get something directly from the PD expressing explicitly his interest in you, I would not even bother.
