Yes..I felt very devastated...Hard to digest still now..But I will try again this year..Gather plenty of clinical experience and Us lors..Even though I worked hard, it was not enough...Good scores only doesn't matter anymore...We all need to have complete package...

hey. Dont lose hope. You have almost exactly the same credentials and YOG as me. The only difference is I had 2 US LORs. I'm sure if you get clinical exposure and LORS from US physicians you will match for sure

4 IVs without US LOR is really good number, and I think it is attributed to your scores. Why you did not have a LOR from the observership? it must been a question mark in PDs' minds.

Your profile is really good for IM. You are in the right track, you need more clinical experience in US and at least two US LOR, and I think your chances of matching next year will be really hight, granted that you do well in your interviews.

The other reason I did'nt match is may be I didn't perform well in interview In PD's mind. The question "What you have done in united states to strengthen your application apart from your scores" will always be in every PD's mind and I didnt have enough experience to share even though they didn't ask me about this. Though I felt comfortable during the interviews , I was not a stellar candidate according to them and I wasn't ranked high enough to match...

Default 2nd Match

Step 1 - 231
Step 2 CK - 236
Step 2 CS - Pass
Step 3 - 229

All steps passed with no attempts. 6 months clinical experience in US (hands-on); 1 month observership in Canada (University of Toronto - Univ Health Network); 5 months research experience in US. YoG - 2011.

9 interviews.

DID NOT MATCH. Sadly, my 2nd (and perhaps last) match.

Didn't match this year with 245/242/Step 2 CS 1st attempt/ YOG 2014/GC and 3 US LORs.
Had 8 ivs. People with similar credential usually got 15-17 ivs this season.

People with 220 got matched and i know 2-3 people who matched with 210s.

Unpredictable Match ..

I am amazed why you didn't match. So unpredictable match.Your credentials are very good. You would have matched for sure. You were very unlucky this time.Upcoming match year, you will match 100 percent for sure.

Makes me think it's all about networking...not so much scores, not so much USCE, not so much research, not so much number of IVs. This is what makes it unpredictable.
