Default Appointment emails concern

Share here if you have already received your appointment email.. Or if you're still waiting for one.

I don't wanna call the program today. But I might call the program tomorrow to ask and confirm that they still haven't sent out those emails just yet.

Some folks have received emails and contacts but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Varies from programs to program, some contacted candidates on Friday right after the match results, others contacted on Monday via email. Sit tight and give them at least today. If you are too worried, you may send a quick email to PC saying that you matched at their program and would love to provide any information that they may need to move the process along.

I know it some times can be nerve wrecking to wait and think all kind of things..but if you have received the Match email and program name, it's a binding agreement in and itself. The spot is yours.

Yup, I got a welcome from the PD and PC a few hours after match day. I'm supposed to get a bunch of paperwork today or tomorrow.

Each program has a different schedule, though, so I wouldn't panic. They've already accepted you... there are no take backs!!

Agree with Two step. I got a welcome email on the 18th and was informed I'll be getting contracts and boarding information early this week.

Your program must be very efficient! Good on you!

Anything worth mentioning in the paperwork? Things that one could start working towards to like digging up immunization record from my doctor etc?

They will ask for a mailing address to send the paperwork to in addition to also asking for email address. At least that's what one of my friends was asked about on Monday after the Match day (Friday).

If you need to travel overseas, you should consult with PC and see if they can send all paperwork by email.

Default Email for PD?

So PCs and admins are sending out emails to new interns. Has anyone also received emails or phone call from PD? If one receives emails from PC to get paperwork started, is it a good idea now to send a quick thank you or "excited to match" email to PD as well?

Yes, it seems most can be done online/scanned.
