Listening Publishing a book; Good for CV?

Hi guys,
am here in this forum for almost three months since i started my preparation for step 1, though am not such active as others here.
I wanna ask if anyone knows is writing and publish a book taken as anything plus on CV for residency match ? or is only research that matter here.

I am not sure if I understand the question- have you written a book?
If it is medicine related, that is certainly a plus!

Certainly.

Publishing a book requires more knowledge and work and cross referencing than any article in any journal.

This is of course if your book is medical and is serious book not just some sort of a PDF compilation.
