I think that Nrmp data is no good and skewed let me explain.

According to the data

A USIMG is someone who is a citizen IMG
Non-US IMG include green card holders and non visa

Surely a GC holder has an edge vs visa and might be parallel w a US IMG but not according to these numbers.

So take this data with a grain of salt.

Good program, community hospital between a good neighbor and a bad neighborhood so pretty diverse patient population. US-IMG friendly. Does not do visa sponsorship. What else do you want to know?

Well you just said good program so yeah that's about it. Was wondering if I should consider an interview call from them or not. Since I couldn't find any information on the program. Thank you so much!

This is great program with establish reputation for IMGs and excellent fellowship placement and great faculty often from Yale. Look for info about Bridgeport - as many community programs (university affiliation) located in the underprivileged area.

I am in constipation mode as far as IV invitations are concerned after an initial episode of diarrhea. I think I will soon be diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome.

It is 100 programs for AMGs and about 20 for IMGs with invitations for Ivs. It is 25% programs overall.

I found out today that one of my LORS didn't get assigned. I am mortified. I just assigned it. I have 3 total as of now. Will this make a difference? Should I email program coordinators to tell them I have 3 LORS now?

You can always e-mail them, but first you have to assign your letters by yourself to all programs (it is not automatic). I personally think that it did not affect your application tremendously.

Thank you. Yes, I realize it isn't automatic. It was an incredibly stupid, careless mistake on my part.

From your 13 I will go to Pit, NYu and UCF only and rank them as is. You can free spots for rest of the misery. 10 other people will match if you will be empathetic.

https://usmlegunner.com/usmle/percen...ings-analysis/

Seems like there is not so many people with score close to 270 on step 2, on step 1 apparently those people do not exist. Overall it is less than 0.05 % of applicants with score higher than 265, and most of them will not chose internal medicine. With around 12 000 applicants for IM last years and 7 000 matched there is hope for people with higher than 220, 2 years of graduation and no red flags, for the rest consider "people skills".

Rej 2: St. Luke's PA

It's getting frustrating. At some point, I felt my profile was a good one. It's almost 3 weeks now since the application start and I got only 2 IVs. Nothing since Monday. I am not sure what is wrong with my application!

What's your stats?

Also, from all my friends whom got interviews last year had most of there interviews come in on the 2nd week of October and then trickled into November and December.

I was surprised after reading your post...relax man...what about many applicants who not even received 1 interview with good credentials...you already got 2 iv's so far which is very good sign for early 3 weeks...just wait and watch for few weeks...just focus on IV preparation...no need to frustrate...

by the way, what are your credentials as I do not see your scores anywhere...pls share your credentials and Invited programs, if you are ok with that...

Hmm they must not be accepting students without a visa?

I just got my 6th IV from St. Luke's, PA and my stats don't compare to yours.

Maybe yes. A bunch of my non-US IMG friends got the same rejection at the same time. Not a good start to the day for me. Congrats on your 6th though.

The question here is do you have a choice? I think people above 12 Ivs can cancel or reject Ivs, until then I think you should accept it.

Generally there are 5 levels:

1.Academic top universities for example Pit, NYU
2.Academic middle level for example University of Rochester
3.Community program associate with University for example Bridgeport yale
4.Community program not associate with University but decent
5.Community Program not associate with University where you treated as cheap labor but still you will get your Certificate In IM - pass to your future in America

(my levels with examples are base on the programs in the reach for IMGs base on this forum)

I will also think that you need to have programs from 3 diffident levels just to be on safe side. I hope this was helpful.

If you could prepare list of the programs with full name so far inviting people (imgs) I can rank them for you base on my experience and the best will.

So far only one person with 2 Ivs in the level 1

hi guys, i have no IVs so far. I can't help but be worried that something might be wrong with my app even though i know it's still to early to tell.

i would like to ask if anyone knows how IVs are sent out because some of my friends with lower scores than me are already getting IVs in programs I applied to. Does that mean I'm rejected?

Please I'd like to ask a question because I'm applying next year.

Is it possible to get 3 LORS from 1 month of observership.

How do I go about this.

Thanks

Its unfortunate that you dont have any Iv till now because your credentials are good.Although its too ealry to say anything as programs have just starting to send IVs as a program from which i got iv yesterday has been opening iv dates gradually , i knew that when rescheduled the iv date.Do you have any contacts in any program?
