Hello, I saw someone mentioning that the said person didnt get any ivs yet cz his eras app must be too short, mine is short too i guess 5 pgs, I dont know if the length of the application is a really big factor and its freaking me out after getting 3 rej and no Ivs.

That's not true. I think the person who said that has solid scores and a good profile and that's probably the reason they are getting their IVs. People rarely have time to read through every detail in ERAS application and if it's too long, they loose interest. This varies obviously with the person reading our applications but from the residents/faculty I had the chance to interact with, short and simple is the way to go.

Prelim is just the first year of residency.
Advantages - 1 year USCE, chance to make a good impression and earn a pgy 2 spot in the same program (if available)
Disadvantages - if you need visa to have to think about the implications the prelim year may have based on your future interests, pgy 2 spots are limited in many places (so even if you perform very well and are offered a postion in categorical track, you will have to repeat the internship)

Okay guys. Quick question. All of you who got an invite from Lincoln, was it through eras? Or was it a direct email? And was the person who sent the email by any chance named Ramona? Because I got a direct email and it seems slightly fishy. Would be great if you guys could help me out.

Hey guys

I just passed my Step 3 exam and I'm wondering if I should be contacting program coordinators informing them this. And if I were to email them, what else should I be mentioning in the email? I don't wanna write anything that might backfire so any input is appreciated.

Thanks
