Any chance of matching in Psychiatry with these scores:

Step 1-207( 1st Attempt)
CS- Pass ( 2nd attempt)
CK- Pass ( 3rd time)
Step 3-Pass ( 1st attempt)

US Citizenship, Caribb Grad. Any iota of a chance? Any input will be appreciated.

Honestly? Extremely hard. Many with scores in 210s with first attempt have a tough time to match so you can imagine that it will be crazy tough. I would say if you have contacts or connections, make good use of them or it will a very tough path.

I think there's hope as long as you stick to psychiatry. (it definitely has

lower limit) I also think your recent YOG will help as well.

(It will get harder as years pass by... So try vigorously asap !) Good luck

I have to disagree. Personally I know 2 people who had scores in 220s on first attempt and good amount of research in psych (were citizens) and they did not match in psych this year. Psychiatry is getting increasingly famour among AMGs and the competition is bound to increase.

Thanks for your positive outlook. I don't deny that it will not be easy but I am ready to give it a try. I guess I will have to wait and see.

Try to work with a very influential US doctor. With a good connection you always have chance

It would be hard but if you have connections, good CV and or good LoR it could be possible. Hard but possible. Seconds attempts are usually red flag. Good luck.
