Default How to use home country IM residency for IV

Hi all,
I am preparing to apply this year for 2017 match.I am an IMG

I graduated MBBS in 2010,did 3 year IM residency at home country (2011 to 2014),now as postdoc research fellow in Cardiology in US(2015 to 2017).

My concern is how will I use my home IM residency and US research experience in my profile to get interviews. Can I use my YOG as 2014 or is it 2010.

I don`t have electives/externships but while working as research fellow I observe with my boss who is a cardiologist ,so can I mention it as observership.

I am trying for Neurology or IM.I know a lot of US physicians personally who are ready to give me LOR`s but I havn`t worked with them so is it wise to use their LOR.My Boss is a bigguy and his LOR is the only true LOR for me.Can somebody advice. Many Thanks!
(My scores are 252/259/Cs pass/step 3 in July.)

There are segments in eras where you can answer all those questions about previous residency etc . it will be viewed by programs that download the application and i hear having done a residency before somewhat boosts your application to what extent none knows. if your cardiologist friend can provide an LOR for that observership why not? actually you would need it. so YES! grab as much LORs as u can. and be ready to defend them incase you get an IV. Your YOG is 2010 you can't wing it sorry lol.
