Default who should sign the dean letter?

Well actually our identification forms and all were signed by our vice principal sir as his signature was verified with ECFMG. Now for dean's letter, has it to be signed by the same person whose signature is verified or the principal of the college?

The dean of a medical school is the highest authority of the school. I don't if some countries call it another name but in any English based med school the position is called dean.

i have the same question. The person whose signature are registered with ECFMG is not the DEAN in our college. So i will be needing his letter or actual DEAN's letter?

The medical school official authorized to sign ECFMG Forms might be different and might be the same as the dean.

It depends on your school's history.

Some schools have the dean himself sign Form 186 and other ECFMG communications, other schools have another med school official sign them, usually the Registrar head.

For the Dean Letter, it's always the Dean, it's always the Dean, it's always the Dean

Dean letter is different from ECFMG forms.

Hey, all I think its changed ... ERAS Support Services say now on its the designated medical school official who has to sign ... http://www.ecfmg.org/eras/applicants...ents-mspe.html ... I'd like the moderators here ... Sabio or others to read it fully and clarify.

Yeah, sure
MSPE can be signed by any med school official, since it's not called Dean letter any more.

so as IMGs do we need that MSPE form? in my school they said it's not mandatory anymore. It costs a lot and is the same for anyone so it doesn't seem to be very useful...do we need it? thx for any input..
