Question Match 2018/2019

Good day all,
Im in dilemma and i really need your opinions/suggestions

Im an IMG 2012 graduate, currently enrolled in a residency program in my home country.
I didn't give my steps, no publications, and no USCE yet

I really don't know if I should squeeze myself for the next 14 months to be able to finish step 1+CK+CS & do research & USCE, all at the same time while managing my duties as a senior resident and while studying & giving exams for 2 board certifications I'm doing, all to be able to apply for the 2018 match, putting myself at risk of scoring low in the usmle !!!

Or should i take my time to do the USMLE, get USCE, do research, get publications, and work on my cv, then apply for the 2019 match ?? but it would be 7 years since my graduation date !!!!

I'm very confused and i don't know which choice to go for..
What would you do if you were in my situation??
Thanks

This depends on your ability to take the exams. My personal opinion is to avoid rushing. It does't hurt to have USCE, research etc but your scores are the most important of this all.

Some programs prefer old graduates.
