Question MSPE for older grads

Hello,

How significant is MSPE for match for IMGs? I mean especially for people > 10 yrs since graduation?

Significant? Probably not for IMGs (irrespective of year of graduation). But everyone gets in anyways to have a complete application.

Thanks for replying. I know my med school will likely give a very general letter so I'm wondering if I should pay to get it if it's not that important.

Yeah . That's true for most IMGs. It would be better just to take it for the sake of having a "complete" application. The content of mspe or deans letter really does not matter much for imgs.

But I read that Eras can put in a placeholding letter to make your application look complete if you don't get one. I'm wondering if I should just do that.

It's up to you I guess. That option is usually for schools that do not provide mspe.
