Default personal statement please help

I am IMG from India.I want your advice for Personal statement that actually I gave my all usmle exams in 2010 ,but after that I didn't get visas so I had to gave up for USA residency, but I was determined to get into the residency in USA.
so I completed my post graduation in India, meanwhile I again prepare for my visas ,and applied for visa, luckily after 5 years again got visa ,so now I am again doing efforts for residency in USA.

should this I include in Personal statement?.
this effort will they consider positive?Or

My visa issues will go negative?

I am confused if I should include this effort in Personal statement or not.

I think you should. Everyone knows that visa process is based on luck more often than not and might appreciate that you took the time to explain the gap between the exams and applying for residency. But that is just my opinion, lets see what others have to say.

This forum mostly has IMGs like us. If you want an attending to answer this, you could post the question in SDN.
