Default A humble try: YOG 2007 stands any chance?

Hello friends,

I know I am very late but still wanted to check before giving up.

My YOG is 2007. And am I am willing to find out if there is any hope to get residency if I gave USMLE steps.

Below is my profile:

YOG 2007

Grades in MBBS over 90%

MBBS done from Ukraine in 2007

2 years wasted due to a major social issue

In 2010, passed Medical Council of India screening test

In 2011 completed Internship from India
2011-2013 did a postgraduate diploma in medical ultrasound from University of Toronto, Canada

From 2013-till now working as a sonographer in a hospital in Canada

Also appointed as supervisor and examiner at the ultrasound board of Canada

Have good LORs from Canadian radiologists

Have 2 publications as co author in cardiology research

Proven social work activities

Have Canadian passport

Now having a thought of taking 1 year study leave and giving usmle with all aggressive preparation

Do you friends think I even stand a chance with my profile?

Please enlighten me with your inputs so I can take an informed decision.

Many thanks,

SSD
