Question Applying late for 2013 match

Hello people,

I'm an IMG graduate who need a visa, with step 1 score of 223 and recently gave my step 2 cs and found out today that I failed. I am taking my ck this weekend and my ck score would be available by July end. So, if I retake my CS in July or August, results would be out by October 3rd after which I can apply for the match. So, is it advisable to take CS and apply late in October or wait for the next year's match? I know no one can accurately predict it but, an experienced opinion is really appreciated!

Thank you.

i am in the same situation.
since the results from june 17 will be delayed till oct , iam guessing that many will get their results late.
can the moderators or someone experienced please shed some light on this...
as cs is required only at the time of matchin innmarch.. so will it be ok to apply with no cs results till oct 3???

plzzzzzzzzzzzzz help some one!

False. Most programs want a pass CS result on hand when they interview you. Some places may give you an exemption, but based on the 150 IM programs that I looked it.. 95% of them stated that.

As for the other questions, i'll let others handle it.

@Heman 466s: You can get few interview call but dont expect a lot because defintitely applying late is a big drawback especially if you need visa. One of the reason is you will get ECFMG certification late which has become one of the important factor while applying as most of the community programs like to be certified.
Good luck dont lose hope and keep working hard

Warning! Stressed; please help!

Hey guys, unfortunately I will be changing my CK date to Sept 10 . I'm just not ready to take it. This means (I think) the results will be out Oct 10. Should I upload my application once I have my result (Oct 10/11) OR should I upload it anyway without the CK result (Sept 15)? Will my application look incomplete? Will my CK score be shown as pending? Will Program Directors automatically get my score once its out? I have passed Step 1 and CS; I'm still in med school.

I would really appreciate some insight!!!!
