Question Any matching chances with a failed CS attempt!

I am a IMG

passed step 1, passed step 2 ck, but failed the step 2 cs. Anyway can I apply for the Match 2013???

I need a wise answer, thx.

Failed Step 2 CS lowers your chances of getting interviews but does not make your chance zero.

So if you are determined in getting into residency you can make it even with a failed attempt.

Stuff that can help ameliorate you failed attempts are the following;
  • High Step 1 Score
  • High CK Score
  • USCE, externships, observerships, US LoRs
  • Good written CV in ERAS
  • Research experience and publications
  • Good Interview Performance

hi sabio
I am an img with a step 1score of 246.I recently failed in CS exam. I am now hoping to apply for 2014 match .I have 2 months USCE till date.
please advice me about my chances. should I go for USMLE ?

hey can we apply this year if we are not ecfmg certified. my cs result will be out ini october...sould i stilll apply?
and if i upload my lors in my eras , will they be there till the next year or they will be eresed.???

moderators plz help!!!
