Default How are Hard Copy US LORs Uploaded?

Hello, is it possible to upload hard copies of US LORs? I have 3 from 3 years ago. I understand that most likely I will have to try to reach out to the physicians? My externships were conducted via an externship program. Should I reach out to them to get in touch with the docotrs or should I reach out to the doctors myself? I have their old contact information and can email them scanned copies of the LOR they wrote me, which should make it easier for them to upload it if that is what is required.

Kind Regards

Get in touch with the doctors you worked with directly, send them the old letter, request them to submit the letters via LoRP after updating the date on the LoR.

Hi, thanks for your response. I will be doing that and hope I can reach them in time. In the event they do not all respond, is it possible to upload the signed soft copy files i have in my email to OASIS directly or as a non-waived LOR via ERAS?

Kind Regards

Yes, you can directly upload unwaived letters via LoR portal (you need to sign in usibg your AAMC ID, make sure to check its unwaived letter and upload it. OASIS stopped uploading unwaived LoRs couple of years back). But unwaived LoRs from US physicians are a red flag, so it might be better if you get in touch with the people you worked and ask them to send the letters (even if there is a week delay).

Previously programs downloaded applications and when you got the ck score, you were required to contact the programs and ask them to take a look at your updated application again. But apparently since last year, the application is updated in real time (rather than programs downloading applications). If that's the case, you can apply early. However, I am not sure exactly how the programs would know if the ck score is sent later after applying now unless we ask them to look at the applications again. If you know people in the program who are familiar with the new process then you could ask them about this. Personally, I would have applied a little late (because I am not aware of the new process). I would have applied with a complete application rather than having to ask the programs to look at my application again after getting the score (?). That's my personal view though. Try to ask your seniors who went through the process last year.
