Default late application. failed ck.plz help

Hi guys
I am an img recently graduated applying for IM.
I have a low step 1 score 215(1st attempt) and passed CS (1st attempt)
I just received me ck result and I failed by 1 mark (208).
I have a good 3 month research and 2 month observerships.
Planning to give CK in first week of October and get score by late October or early November.
I have applied in 120 programs as of now and planning to apply in another 70-80 after I get my CK score and then email the current 120 prog the new score.
Do you guys think that I have any scope left in USMLE and any chance by this method? Really stressed if this gamble is worth the effort.
No rosy pictures. Please let me know the harsh truth.
Thanks in advance.

What is your year of grad? Where are u an IMG from? What is your visa status?

Did you do any clinical rotations in the United States?

Virtually impossible to even get any interviews without a passed CK in the books. By the time you even get your new score, most, if not all interviews will have been given out. I'm sorry but it looks very bleak for you this cycle and in hindsight should've saved your money. Even next time around will be tough with a failed step.

Sadly, I agree too. By the time the ck result is out, most places would have filled out the spots. But who knows, you could always get lucky. Since you have already applied to programs, if you are confident that you can do well on ck, then go ahead and give the exam. But if you rush with ck and don't score well (more than 240-250) that could really worsen your chances.

How do you suggest I should study this time?
I am doing UW again more thoroughly this time.
Revising MTB 2 (Med) MTB 3 (Non med)
Then I am planning to give NBME 7 as I have already used rest NBME and UWSA.
I am confused if I should do Kaplan qbank, Step up to med??

To be honest I don't know. I have an average score on ck so you should not probably take advice for exam preparation from me. I just did UW towards the end and did it with nbme and uwsa. I have not used kaplan qbank and Step up to med is way too detailed for step 2. I would say stick to reviewing UW thoroughly and do questions from kaplan qbank (or other qbanks). Also look at recent ck experiences and see what they have done differently. Good luck
