Its about average, many of my friends with similar scores are now in resi!
I saw a previous post mentioning that your nbme and uwsa scores overpredicted? What were your nbme/uwsa/uworld percentage?

No chance. Forget it.

What kind of a question is this?

Sorry, but I have to say that the average CK score now is 242. so 231 is not above average. but your step 1 score is quite good.
According to chart outcome of 2016, I would say you still have chances but need to work on USCE and getting good LORs.
Hope you the best.

Star Chances

Step 1 score looks fine, Step 2 may be slightly below average/average; However I don't think you should give up.
I would work to get great Letters of Recommendation from programs you are interested in. Also one thing to remember is the "whole picture" of your applications - LoR/Scores/Research/Experience/Volunteer/Interview, so a lot of things are involved in selecting a resident. You definitely have a chance to match!
I would get involved with your school's research program (in your particular specialty interest if possible) and get a few great letters of recommendation. Having an opportunity to present research at a regional meeting is a great opportunity to meet others. Another thing to do is to attempt to do observerships/away rotations at institutions you are interested in.

I hope that helps,

There's a great post you should read about matching and step scores - the ECFMG article goes through the chances 'on average' based on Step 1/2CK, even splits it by different specialties for IMGs.
