Question Electronic request of LORs and OASIS

I can't send from OASIS an electronic request for a LOR..... the website explains that you go to ERAS section and then click in requesting LOR... I can't see that in my OASIS... help please!

You cannot see "letter request" in OASIS, you have to go to ERAS, click on documents tab, then LoR subtab, then request and finalize a list of your letter writers.

ERAS then will transmit this information to ECFMG and it will then appear in your OASIS.

Sabio, I can see it from oasis and it says it'll be available starting tomorrow, July 2nd at 12. As far as I know we'll have to request via oasis who then transfers to MyERAS

Did you waive your rights?

I don't think it matters, it's just the option of sending out 'invites' to your LOR writers. There's another option to upload documents if you have them and have not waive your rights obviously. They're 2 different tabs. I can't open the first one as it says it'll be available tomorrow. I guess then you put in the info and say if you waive your rights or not.

What I understood from the instructions is that if you waive your rights, then you have to use the OASIS LWP (letter writer portal). You request it in OASIS and then ECFMG will send an email to your letter writer. Then the letter writer will then upload the LoR and send it back electronically to ECFMG and it will then appear in your OASIS.
At this point (when your LoRs appear in OASIS it will say LOR UPLOADED) then you have to go to myERAS and create and finalize a list of LoRs, so that ERAS request them from OASIS. If you don't do that step, your LoRs will be just sitting in your OASIS.
