Question Prematch; Official or Unofficial!

I am applying for the match this year...what are the criteria by which candidates are prematched......I am doing research on some hospitals i didn't find any place for prematch! is it like an unofficial thing????? i have heard that one withdraws from the match is that true????

Yes, of course it's unofficial. No program will mention it in their site. You have to ask the residents and some other unofficial people to know whether they offer prematch or not.

Of course when you accept a prematch and sign contract with them they'll force you to withdraw from the match.

Does Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center Internal Medicine Program (New York) offer PreMatch this year (2010-2011)?
