Default Old grad - number of Programs

I know this is kind of a stupid question but I read all the time about to how many Programs you should apply and so on.
Anyway, I'm an old grad but I basically make up for it in every other category, I have good USMLE scores, no attempts, GC holder, lots of publications, no major gaps, completed residency in IM overseas, observership and hands-on in US, etc.
So, obviously, after checking the individual requirements for the Programs, to how many Programs should I apply? I've selected my first choices already but I kind of feel like I should add some more Programs . I'm going for IM because it it what I truly enjoy!
Any suggestions?

From my understanding, you are not a graduate of a medical program (or ar into eligible for th degree) which is dispensed at graduation, until you finish internship. So 2012 is your graduation year. You are still good.

But my University has stated it very clearly on my diploma certificate(which they issued with my transcript ceetificate) that i graduated in the exam of 2011.My University has not provided me with any further such certificate after completion of my internship. what shall be the proof of my graduationing in 2012 then?
