Question How to find Unfilled Positions After the Match!

During or after the whole year Residency matching program, how vacancies are filled that were less attractive (specialities) or left unfilled or in case those that drop out. OR in general filling the shortage of doctor (locum) in number of specialities throughout the year.

Default It depends!

It depends on you, i mean after the SOAP end, unmatch IMG start sending e-mails to many programs expressing their interest in that prgram and ask if there's any unfilled position.
Attached to that e-mail is your Lor, ECFMG certifcate, diploma and P.S.
Then you'll wait for an answer from them if there's any position available, then they will conduct an interview with you

I see, well what if immediate vacancies were available in general after matching season end, e.g. certain residents withdrawn or those skip from career.
Is there not any common or board vis online opening sites or agencies that dealt with such shortages. Like in UK the NHS system where doctor can enter into a non training post through out year if training post were filled in a year circle.
Is residency seasons the only time to enter for training post in US?

Default sharing unfilled positions

Dear All
I would appreciate if any one of you can share the unfilled positions for this ERAS-2013.

I forgot to register for the NRMP and now I won't be able to receive that list of unfilled positions. Double whammy.

Thanks and Best wishes to all

Default I heard about dropping positions throughout the year

And away from eras and nrmp,
Some PD look for someone to fill his empty slot
Is there an official or even unofficial site to put a candidate on the waiting list?
