The next step is log in to myERAS, start working on your application profile (CV), Personal statement, program selection.

Also start working on your OASIS account to upload LoRs, MSPE, Medical school transcript, and photograph.

Steptaker, i have a question regarding this. I have already requested 2 LORs via the letter portal, it takes 2 weeks. My question is, once they accept it, the letters appear automatically in my eras, or do we have to do something?... like writing the names of these letter writers in eras?
thanks dr

Yeah, you have to request the LoR in ERAS as well.

I really don't understand this step. So i sent the request via Oasis (and waived my rights too), and now i have to go to My Eras, and in the LOR author info section, also write the information, of the same persons ?? I'm not uploading it. Really confused. Appreciate the help.

Yes it's confusing. But that's what you have to do.
Last year, people forgot to do that step and they ended up late in application.
So after OASIS tells you that your LoR are uploaded, you have to go to ERAS and request the LoR slots for the same letter authors so that then ECFMG sends the letter to ERAS.

Great, nobody that is doing this knew that. I already did it in ERAS and they have not finished uploading the letters, do you think it's a problem??... I will try to give this information to everyone that asks this now. Thanks again ST!

So if we dont waive our rights for LOr then what we have to do?
At 1st we will scan & upload to OASIS & then again go to ERAS & ask for LOR slot?
Plz someone explain..

Sabio thanks a lot!!!!
Someone told me that we have to put our AAMC Id over the MSPE? Is it true for the IMGs? Because there is no relation between our medical school & ERAS application process. So why we should put the AAMC ID over the MSPE?

And regarding transcript, we can directly upload it to the OASIS. After uploading is there anything else regarding the transcript that we need to do?

As far I understand for ECFMG transcripts (to release the usmle scores ) we have to call ECFMG, but I think we can do that after 15 th September, 2012, not before that.

If I am wrong in these above points please correct me..:sorry:

These procedures are so confusing ..we should share our informations,it will help all..
