Certificate Personal Statement Opening Sentence!

Hello,
how do you start the PS, I mean, literally the first sentence, is it like "To whom it may concern" or do you just go for it and start writing without a greeting, hello or Dear Sir kind of thing?

Thanks Hitman.
I saw that in the samples but I do think it's kind of rude not saying anything..., any other opinions, experiences out there?!
