Question Residency Programs That Accept CS Attempts

Hello.. I am an IMG and I could not clear my CS. I wanted to ask that can some one give a list of programs (internal med, surgery, neurology & family med) that allow you to apply even if you have not cleared CS in first attempt? Thank you.

Need a bit more information. How many attempts did you have? Did you clear the other steps first time, and what were your scores like?

Some programs allow one failure overall. Some allow two. If you have really great scores, they may overlook one failure (even in CS).

A precise answer is impossible because many different criteria are used in deciding to extend a Residency interview. Generally speaking, though, any Step failure makes you less competitive and in highly competitive programs (e.g. Surgery) this may be a fatal blow. Less competitive programs like FM, and ever some IM programs, may take a kinder view of a single failure.
