Question CS Fail; What to do?

I failed my cs exam in CIS, just found out i have a 259 on step 1 exam. any advice on what I should now in the next 1 year as I will be applying for 2014 match? and what are my chances on matching in IM residency?

You have an awesome step 1 score. You still have high chances of matching in IM. Take CS again and make sure you score as nice on step ck.

Try to get some USCE with good LORs so they can compensate for that fail.

thanks for your reply. i have good LORs from USCE. do i have a chance in good university programs (not the best) cuz thats where id intended to apply...how rigid are PDs about cs attempts i wonder.

I won't lie, the problem is that on many of those top tier programs, they use the words "must pass on 1st attempt".

Still, i'm sure you'll get into IM, however, I encourage you to apply broadly including, but not limited to those top notch university programs.

i failed in CIS too how do u plan to improve in CIS? i did well in other two components. but dont know how to improve CIS
