Certificate Two LoRs from the same author!

Hello everyone,

I realize this question has not been asked
before
but is it possible to ask for more than 1 lor from the same attending?
Assuming to worked there at different times or did 2 months instead of a month?
Can the same attending write lets say 2 lors for u and not just 1?

Thanks a lot

Stop

That will not work. The same author cannot write for you more than one LoR even if you have rotated with him/her in different departments or for longer times.

How about one letter directed to IM and another General??
I just heard today in Kaplan class that the last one overrides the previous one, but how can this be if we are sending them two different requests, which I already did without any trouble on Eras??

I currently have in my ERAS, an LOR written by my FM preceptor, 1 for FM and 1 for General. I also have the same for my peds LOR. Its all done, and in my ERAS post office box. Only works if its a diff specialty.

I was also notified when the preceptor mistakenly tried to upload a specialty specific LOR to general category. So apparently someone is doing their job, sent me a heads up email, asking me if that was what I wanted.
