Question Can You Use an Un-Dated LoR?

Hi all,

Just a quick question, can you use a LoR that doesn't have a date on it? I just got a LoR from my attending that he signed quickly without putting a date, it will be very difficult to contact him about this, but I can try to do it if it's worth it..

What do you think?

Default Not a big deal

To be honest, program directors do not care about LoRs unless they're from some really prestigious institution like Harvard or Cleveland clinic or so.

Sorry, but that doesn't make sense. So you are saying if you go without LoRs at all is the same as going with US LoRs from places that are not Harvard or Cleveland Clinic? I don't think that's right.

I don't think either. LORs are said to be the most important part of your application after scores!

I've been through last year's match with 3 US LoRs. And from my experience, I can say only high-profile LoRs are noticed by program directors.

I'd say your personality, your personal ambitions, and your interviewing skills come second after your scores.

Let's hope for the best.

Are you applying this year, bro? If yes, then all the best!
How about my original question by the way? Any insight if you can use a LoR without a date?

No, it's not an issue at all.

Good luck.
