Default LOR from 3rd year resident?

hello I will be applying to the 2013 match and I just did an elective, I got 2 LORs from the attendings that supervised me, I was wondering if it will be useful to ask the 3rd year resident that I worked with to write me one?
thnx

If it's one and the same observership / experience, you probably should just use one LOR anyway, unless it was broken up into different subspecialties or sections, IMO.

Residents are really useful for getting interviews. Don't ask for a letter as it would be worthless, rather help for an interview. Good Luck!
