Question IMG Student with no MSPE!

I am a medical student and will be applying for match as a medical student. as i understand, MSPE can only be issued if you are graduate and you have completed your medical school. Can anyone tell me what can i use in place of an MSPE?
Thanx

You can not participate in the match if you are not going to be a graduate before January 2013.

The last date that ECFMG accepts an MSPE is September 15th 2012, (this is if it's going to be uploaded electronically, much earlier if it's going to be mailed).

If you cannot provide an MSPE in time then follow the ECFMG instructions and here I quote it for you;
Quote:
If you are unable to secure the MSPE from your medical school, you must indicate this on page 12 of the MyERAS application. A neutral placeholder letter will be provided in place of the MSPE. The placeholder letter will be provided to all of the programs to which you apply, and will state, “This document is provided in lieu of the applicant’s MSPE. Please contact the applicant with any questions you may have.” This will ensure that your application will appear as complete for those programs that require an MSPE before considering your application.
Ref: http://www.ecfmg.org/eras/applicants...ents-mspe.html
But again I want to stress the fact that you cannot participate in the match if you are not fully graduate by January 2013.

They have a substitute for this(MSPE) on the ERAS site under the FAQ section of MSPE, There's another letter that affirms your status as a bonafide student and serves as a substitute but then again, There's this section 13 on your MyEras that you'd have to fill out afterwards and also IMHO, It's not recommended because:

The PDs will have a look at this "Substituted letter" (sorry can't remember the exact term) And will have to speak to your school directly for info on you!
(sounds like trouble right? I highly doubt they'll go through it for us )
Try your luck if all else fails... Godspeed
