Default What should I do?

Hello everyone,
You all might find me a bummer considering my other posts, I think i am way too cynical. I have 250+ scores in both of my steps, step 1 251, step 2 253 and I have passed my CS on first attempt. I did one month elective from brown university and got 2 LORs from my attendings, both of which have been uploaded and were waived. But somehow i think i do not have a good enough profile to get matched. I am not a us citizen and need visa. I am a 2012 grad and my credentials are still in the process of verification.

This feeling is probably because of the numerous horror stories i have heard how people with good enough scores have tough time getting into the system.I have heard people like me , without any contacts in the US do not get into it. They say people with a 220 but with a person in the program will have easier time getting interviews and matching than someone like me.

Someone please throw some light on this aspect. It is really troubling.

PS i am not even considering to apply in the university programs
