Unhappy Latest date to write CK!

Hi everyone!
I am sort of in a dilemma here. I have already done Step 1 and CS and I have booked sept 26th for my CK. However, I am thinking that I need a little bit more time. I was going to apply for October 3rd. Now when's the last date I should aim to take my CK? Should I still apply on Oct 3rd as my result won't be here or wait till I have done my exam?

Dude if you take your exam Oct 3, score will come out end of Oct, doesnt seem far, but realize it hurts your chances, as many programs will have even taken less competitive applicants by then.
At the end of the day, take your time on CK, to make sure you do your very best.
