Question How many more programs??

Hi all! I managed to make a list of 118 programs from the following states,
NY, Pennsylvania, IL, Ohio, Maryland, NJ, MA, MI, CT and WV. What do you guys think??? Should i go for any other States?? I do prefer east coast.
I had thought of applying around 150 initially but not sure anymore. It is costly and doing everything on your own is very confusing. Appreciate any input/suggestions. Thanks!

Star credentials?

what are ur credentials?
generally, for an IMG, 150 programs is a safe number. Yes, its costly, but its better to spend a few hundred dollars more and be on the safe side, instead of saving them and regretting later ryte?
That being said, if ur scores are 260+ in both steps, then even 100 programs will be enough for u...according to the NRMP statistics from last year's match, an IMG with a step1 score of 260+ has a more than 90% rate of matching...
IMO, if score are above 240, the number of programs should be 150 atleast..for scores less than 240, i would go with 200 programs...as 230 now a days is considered average because IMGs are scoring more and more every year...

Thank you for your response. My credentials are 231/252/pass ECFMG certified and pending step 3 score, YOG 2008, 2 months obseververship and 3 US LORs and 1 home country LOR, Need Visa. Basically when i was doing search for the programs, i saw that there are many programs who wants fresh graduates. So i could come up with only 118 programs in the area i liked. Looks like i need to broaden my area.
