Arrow Summarizing the last 20 posts

Ok guys so we all seem to have the same problem of having uploaded important documents in the last 2 weeks. We were unaware of the fact that ECFMG processes them very slowly, in chronological order, today for example the ones submitted on the 31th of August (http://www.ecfmg.org/eras/index.html left lower corner).

So we are now realizing that we have 2 suboptimal options:

1. submitting our applications on the 15th = be among the first applicants maximizing our chances but risking that our applications might be filtered out as incomplete
2. applying later with complete application, risking that it will not be downloaded early in the process, lowering our chances for interviews.

We would love to hear the moderators' voice! which option to choose?

another question, asked several times, not replied as far as I followed the posts:
as MSPE-s from US med schools are released only on the 1st of October, it would be logical that programs are not downloading applications until that date (which would give us 2 more weeks!)
Or, do they start downloading IMG applications earlier (if US grads are generally preferred, why would they do so)?

In previous years ...MSPE-s were submitted to ERAS in NOvember for AMG and Carribe_IMG..this yera they are doing it early in fact...

So i dont think it has any significant role for the time being...

They will download the application as they get to them. I spoke to 2 program coordinators yesterday and they told me that they have to check ERAS on a daily basis. MSPEs will be attached once they're available for everybody.

If it makes you feel any better I'm on the same boat
By the way i have heard it's more important for some special programs like IM, FM to apply as fast as possible.

I did the same, tired with the dilemma to apply with/without fourth lor. But I have to know how to apply fourth lor when it is uploaded in eras system as I have already applied to the programs, so they don't show the program I selected so don't know how to send once its available in eras.
