Question Employment Authorization Status in ERAS

Hi everyone.
I am an IMG currently applied for 185 internal medicine residency programs. I applied on 26th Sept. The time when I applied I have mentioned "Pending application for Permanent Resident", as my immigration process is going on and I expect my Greencard in 2-3 months from now.
I have received notification about my employment authorization document approved today. Should I update this information to each program individually ? And what should I mention about this update in my ERAS profile section ?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I'm in a similar situation too. If you put in your social security number, which I assume you have, it should be okay, right?

Do you think we should put in conditional permanent resident?

For now I think the best is to keep the application with what we have (whatever visa status), and to explain the current status in the GC in the interview when the issue comes up, but if it is approved earlier than the match, change it in ERAS and notify the programs that most interest you... for now that's my solution.
Because adding the other info is misleading and incorrect, unless now.

I guess you're right. If we're pending application for the green card and have an SSN, they'll assume we have the Employment authorization card as well, right??

not really since a j1 or h1b can have SSN, in that case it is best to inform the PD directly and i guess the residency coordinator too.

It's so confusing. Can a h1b or j1 be pending green card as well?

OH, OK. Do you think we'll be screened out of programs that don't offer visa sponsorship??

Volkmann, if you can please answer my query. It's a bit irrelevant to the topic but I'd appreciate much.
I believe, as your posts suggest, that you got your EAD recently and your GC is pending.
Now, are you on a H4 visa right now? I believe H4 visa holder cannot apply for SSN. I am assuming you must have applied for an SSN after you got your EAD? How long did it take to get a SSN after getting the EAD?
Thanks very much

Please help. If you plan to get married in a month or two inside the USA right now and than plan on immediately applying for green card, what should you write in your ERAS application right now?

Can you write that you are a foreign national inside USA and than when they ask if you need visa sponsorship, answer no? But after that they have a drop down list where they ask what visa are you planning on working with the program? Can i click on EAD on that? Really confused here!

I tried putting foreign national in US on valid visa and then a drop down menu with the option to put the employment authorization card came up followed by whether you'll need h1b or f1. So they must assume you don't need visa sponsorship when you put pending green card application as a similar menu doesn't come up.

Somebody advice me. As of right now I am on B1 living in US. But I intend to get married to a U.S. citizen in a couple of months and than apply for adjustment of status/EAD. My question is what to fill out in my residency application right now? I will really appreciate some advice here. Thanks.
