Question MPH or Research?

Well i know its kind of too early to ask..but will be applying for MATCH sometime in near future...am still a student...with a step 1 score of 213..want to do electives..and if i do it in peds..and after clearing all Steps(CK and CS)..will it be a gud idea to do MPH or do research for a year??which way will be more beneficial in acquiring an iv call from peds programme??

Both options are good.

University programs appreciate both research and MPH.

I personally would pick MPH because it's not only experience but also it's a degree to be added to your list of degrees.

Thank you Steptaker for your prompt reply..you are truly awesome..But doing MPH and research will be difficult and i also don't want to loose the fresh grad tag doing both..was thinking hard about MPH and really appreciate your help..but with my Step 1 score, even in peds dont think MPH can put me in any uni program..may be some uni based community programme do buy me
