with match season going on
just wanted to wish u guys all the luck in the world
remember everyone that American students receive the best education and they only do the steps after getting a good education in their schools with the curriculum focused on the steps
so them getting good scores or passing doesn't mean they are great but U guys ARE. U passed their exams and that proves that ur all worth competing for the same positions and it is all due to ur hard work and not ur medical school. This guys is something to be proud of so don't let them scare u and just keep going and u will get it god willing!

sorry but I must say I don't think its a good approach that Match is about IMGs fighting off AMGs. It is not black-or-white, there are great people on either side working equally hard for their dreams.
also, remember, that you are the one who plan to enter their society as foreigner so a bit more friendly attitude will help you a lot.

this is just saying that imgs are no less than them thts all

Well, most of the time IMGs are not competing with AMGs. They are often segregated separately by institution. Most average community hospitals exclusively interview IMGs, while prestigious university programs interview AMGs.

small-average comm hosp would still IV amg if given the chance. the reason you don't see amg in comm is bcoz they don't bother applying to them or if interviewed amgs don't rank them & not bcoz the program is interviewing imgs exclusively. all or if not almost all US programs would love to have an amg to their roosters.

I said 'prestigious' university programs. Not all university programs are great. Some of them are worse than community ones.

Congratulations anyway. It's still an IV and a chance.
