Question Minimal number of interviews to feel safe

If someone applying to internal medicine
I don't know what's the feeling of an applicant when he s going to the interview and he knows tht they ll choose him from around 20 applicant per position

According to the NRMP the median numbers of interviews you need to match (AKA Mean number of contiguous ranks) for IMG in internal medicine is 6.5 and for AMG is 9.6 remember AMG get more interviews than IMG so they will have a higher number.
Despite the numbers still there are IMG matched with only one or two interviews, so work hard and wish for the best.
