Default Pediatrics vs Internal Medicine

Good Morning everyone,,
I have an important and urgent question ,, right now I'm a resident of internal medicine,, I studied hard for step 1 for nearly a year however I only managed to get 212 in my step 1 exam ,, when I looked at 2011 charting outcomes I notice that the possibility of matching in Pediatrics is much greater than Internal medicine with this score in step 1 ,
so my question is ,, should being a resident of internal medicine becomes a negative point in my C.V. when applying for Pediatrics OR stick with my plans for internal medicine and that I still have a good opportunity in matching in Internal medicine > I mean do I still have a chance in it ???

Even though im unaware of the recent stats...but i feel u should continue your goal of IM residency.....

i know few ppl who got matched with step 1 scores of 210-220 in IM.....try to get higher scores in step 2 CK (>240), grab US loR's......and u can build a good CV.....

all the best..... Go for it.....
