Question Re-transmitting USMLE Transcript after interviews, failed CS attempt

I have a slightly unorthodox question. I am an IMG and am applying for match this year (2013). I have had my interviews and now am ranking my programs. When I applied I had Step 1 and Step 2 scores and was awaiting my CS score. In my application I disabled Automatic transmission and when my CS result came I had failed, but as ERAS didn't send my new result to the programs I was able to get a few calls and interview at a few places. In the meantime I quickly gave CS again and managed to pass, thus attaining ECFMG certification. No one has mentioned my missing CS score so far, and now I am wondering if I need to transmit my transcript, revealing my failed CS attempt and whether that will affect my rank, or will the programs be ranking me anyway based on my ECFMG certification which shows them I have cleared all the steps?

If anyone has any experience with this situation or knows anyone I would love to hear some suggestions.

yes you need to transmit the score report, and yes your failed CS will be seen but know one cares since the interview showed them you can communicate in English. stop worrying be positive

Well I did feel like dropping out initially but I had already paid to apply to all my programs and I knew my CS failure was due to a bad day and I could pass if I tried a bit harder. Your answer makes sense, but I've been wondering because no one has asked for my transcript and I read somewhere that there's no rule that says you need to resubmit it, and the only thing they care about is if you're eligible for the match at this point, so it's putting yourself at risk at programs who were planning on giving you a higher rank and might put you lower after they see the attempt.

It looks like a loop hole, but am not sure if it works that way.My presumption is that whenever you will transmit your result it will automatically transmit your attempt.......but thats my presumption.I hope I am wrong on this as you stand a better chance without them knowing....Good luck

Hey,

I was wondering if the original poster actually matched or not. I find myself in a very similar situation. I have some interviews lined up and just received a failing CS score. I will retake and get my results by Dec 3. However I was wondering who the original poster's situation panned out.
Thanks
