Default electives for IMG RESIDENCY??

please i want to ask about electives because i knew that applying for electives mean that you will be accepted in the next year from applying

the second question what is the chance for IMG residency with out elective???

last one are electives are only availble for students or graduates have chances??

Doing electives in the US is considered as US Clinical Experience (USCE). They should be done as a medical student and they're looked upon favorably. It is not a guarantee to get interviews just because you did an elective. The length (i.e. 1 month or 3 months), and letters of recommendation matter as well. Your USMLE scores should also be above average to be competitive.
