Question adding USCE to CV for SOAP

hey guys. had a question -
i applied late for the regular match and got no interviews.
however i do want to try out for the SOAP.

since september application i hv had over 5 months of usce... based in a physicians clinic as well as at a nursing home. Both these were hands on.
also have 2 very good US LORs from the doctors that i work with..

i want to add this to my cv.. but ERAS doesnt let you update your CV once you have finalized it.

so how can i communicate to the programs during SOAP about this USCE without updating my cv?

would really appreciate any help!

I Think the only choice you have is to upload your LORs

most imp thing to do in this month is to find a list of programs that went unmatched last year or which had to work for scramble . so make a list of places you thing you will have good shot in soap.

honestly i am surprised you did not get any IVs , with your stats and green card .......

I would suggest you send all the programs you apply for soap emails about your updated CV and your LOR during soap. I dont know how much this will help becoz i hear its a great mess but you have the advantage of being in USA while most IMGs will return back home becoz of their 6 months duration. take advantage of this , keep a list of colleges you feel are more likely to go unmatched, keep there Pds and co ordinators numbers and emails in hand so that you are quick to contact them. hopefully these preparation may increase your chances

Good luck .........

hey thanks a ton buddy.
that was one of the first things that came to my mind.. but according to nrmp rules its illegal to contact any programs in any way with respect to the soap.
so thats a dead end.

im pretty dejected with no interviews either... but sorta accepted the fact.. prepping for next year now -- step 3 and added usce.

this stuff is so much more difficult than it looks.

anyway.. thank you for the words of guidance. much appreciated!
good luck

Oh , i dont know this but you can always email Pds on any updates in your profile , that is definitely allowed. and from what i know we are able to apply to only 30 programs by nrmp and rest we have to email our application separately ... you can check on this , if this is true i would apply to far off reach programs by eras and contact my favourites by email . anyways i would suggest you apply next year , you are a strong candidate just dont settle for a small place to save one year. instead built up a profile for this year.

although its your choice but my 2 cents for usce is to do it in a big university , you can easily email attendings and ask to follow them , that will count way more than private practice externships, these big name have contacts and can make calls for you next year, plus you can get research experience this will make you a top most candidate.

good luck .
