Question Research experience

I am a FMG and I'm looking to get involved in research either as voluntary or as work (would be better) already I did Step 1, 2 and I am waiting for the CS results. I have no connections if someone could give me advice or help.

I was able to take advantage of a research opportunity through a clerkship I was enrolled in... I didn't really have any connections either but built my network through review courses, directly contacting doctors, and clerkship programs

have you looked into this at all?
