Question Best IM programs

Hi Guys! I want to know which are the best Internal Medicine Programs in terms of teaching quality in the US? I searched a lot of websites, but to my surprise I found that Cleveland clinic and Mayo clinic do not figure in the top tier list. Wonder why!
I know Hopkins, Harvard, UCSF are top. Wonder why these two do not figure. CC is also IMG friendly so I am interested in knowing.
Would greatly help to get some advice and suggestions.

Default My program is best for me.

For me No 1 Internal Medicine program is my program where i got prematched. My program gives me opportunity to prove myself. Program accepts me who i am. It respects my score and quality. For me No 1 is my program then may be second or third are harvard or john hopkins or cc or mayo whatever you like.

agree with hardik. the best IM program is were you will get matched.

also as an IMG, it is not realistic to be aiming to the top US programs. though not impossible to get in, it is insanely difficult to get matched. even AMGs have difficulty matching there. i knew an IMG who got 266/263 haven't got invited by any of the ivy league IM programs. so if you really want to get in there, i wud advise:
-getting scores of 270-280s on steps
-at least 3+ clinical research (not bench research) were you're the PI (not just RA) and must be presented & published.
-top class ranking (summa or cum laude)
-PS as good as president's SONA
-USCE 6mos+
-have connection or relative who is a faculty in one of those programs

otherwise, i wouldn't encourage you to apply to those programs. sorry.

I know IMGs who did their fellowships at some pretty top notch places (Hopkins and Mayo for example). Their residencies were at mid-tier programs. What I'm trying to say is that residency can be the stepping stone for the "big name" places provided you put the effort into it.
