Calendar Match 2014 Deadline

Hi! I am IMG. I took step1 already. I am taking Cs in MAy. What is the latest but safe date to take ck? How long will it take to get ECFMG certificate and what is required for it?
Registration to nrmp starts 1 September and registration to programmes sart on the 15th. What are these 15 days for? Does it matter if I register on the 1st or on the 14th?
Thanks for your help

Reporting for the Step 2 CK period oddly changes during the period before ERAS Opens up (Sept 1st I guess?). If you go on the USMLE website they'll have the reporting peroid. This will give you a date when to take exam.

ECFMG Certificate will vary based on how fast your school verifys, mailing time etc. averaging from 3-4 weeks. To get it, you need to have passed: Step 1/CK & CS & Graduated from medical school.

NRMP =/= ERAS. These are two different entities. You send your applications through ERAS on Sept 15th (I think it might be earlier this year), after which you'll interview etc.

You submit your Rank Order List on the NRMP. (Which you need to register separately).

I don't think there is a reporting schedule for CK, only for CS. I could be wrong but I didn't find any reporting schedule for CK on the website. ERAS start date is Sept 15th this year just like it was last year. There has always been a link posted for the ERAS twitter account with the official notice.

Thank you for the information. I couldn't find report schedule for ck. But It should take about 4 weeks I think. If I take ck last week of July leaving 6-7 weeks before ERAS open, would that be ok?
I couldn't find any info on ECFMG certificate.
When I pass all the steps do I need anything else for that? Or I just send the request? They will send papers to my home school again? and then download it to my oasis?
Thank you very much for your help!

Thank you. So this is 100% that Eras opens on the 15th this year? Thanks, because I couldn't find this information online!

Step 2 CK - Schedule For Score Reporting

Posted: June 19, 2013
Score reports for Step 2 CK are usually available within four weeks of testing. However, because of routine modifications to the test item pool, score reporting for most Step 2 CK examinations administered in late July and August will take longer. The target date for reporting Step 2 CK scores for most examinees testing in late July and August is Wednesday, September 25, 2013. For examinees whose circumstances require that they receive Step 2 CK scores before September 25, it is recommended that they take Step 2 CK no later than July 27, 2013.

As a reminder, please note that the test day is divided into eight 60-minute blocks, administered in one nine-hour testing session. The number of items per block on a given examination form will vary between 42 and 44 items. Examinees should check the number of items that will be displayed at the beginning of each block. The total number of items on the overall examination form will be approximately 350 items.

Can anyone tell me what I can do after I pass my steps so that I can apply for the match? Do I have to get the medical school to verify the diploma for the second time again?
