Smile Scheduling exam dates for 2015 Match

I am an IMG in my internship now, can someone please tell me when is the earliest that I can get into residency? How should I plan my exams if I plan to get into 2015 batch?

U mean u want to match in march 2015. Good. Just take it easy. Gather ur study material. This forum has voted that time needed for IMG graduate for step 1 is 6-9 months. Step2 ck is around 4to 6 months step 2 cs less than 4 weeks. Try and make sure u have all ur results and possibly ecfmg certification by August 2014 so that u can apply early September next year! With this in mind if u want to take step1 then ck then cs, u may want to start now and give step 1 by sept-October 2013. Ck feb-march 2014 cs in April 2014. Need 3 months to get cs results in say July or August get ecfmg certified in August them apply in sept2014. Good luck.

Thank you! But I wish to go for electives too for 3 months. If I include that here, then matching in 2015 isn't possible right?

Well it's still possible that means u have to do the electives at the time of c/s and time of waiting for c/s results. If not u may want to reduce ur study duration or better still if u want to go for the electives early enough then u may want to do step 1 then c/s then ck.

Is it okay if I give step 1 in December, c/s in march/april and c/k in july/august? I can go for electives from jan then. C/k results do not take long right?

Very great! That means elective from jan to march. Ck about four months. Yea that is great. If u keep to it seriously u would score 99.

U still can do it. Yes application deadline in November but that would also depend on the date for the 2014-2015 match schedule if it doesn't change.
When in may are u finishing the intenship? Even if ending of may then u have to be studying for the cs as well so that immediately u finish the intenship, u can take cs ending of may. That means ending of August ur results for cs would be in.
Remember in the 2013-2014 match schedule eras would open for application on 15th sept it looks like this date has come to stay so u would still have 2 weeks to play around with. so u are not in trouble at all and ur application would not be late if u plan as stated. Good luck.
